German roll goods producer Sandler AG has recently exhibited at three international trade fairs. The company had its own booth at IDEA07 in Miami, Florida in April, at PLMA in Amsterdam, The Netherlands in May and at Techtextil in Frankfurt, Germany in June. According to the company, all three exhibitions were successful as Sandler’s booth attracted a high number of visitors, proving that the company has met current market developments and trends with its booth designs as well as with the presented products and novelties. At the IDEA show, Sandler’s product focus was on thermally bonded and hydroentangled nonwovens for wipes and hygiene applications. Matters of particular interest for visitors were the subjects of renewable resources (especially for wipes), printed nonwovens for visual differentiation of feminine care products and elastic nonwovens for hygiene and medical applications. At PLMA, Sandler was exhibiting for the first time and showed its variety of wipe substrates and products for the hygiene industry. The company also participated in the New Product Expo where all three product samples submitted by Sandler were displayed. They included nonwovens printed with colored designs, nonwovens made of bamboo viscose and nonwovens made with polylactide fibers, which are extracted from maize starch. Feminine care and adult incontinence products were mainly sought after by visitors. Biodegradability and flushability were matters of interest for wipe applications. Ranking as one of the most important fairs for Sandler, Techtextil was also a success for the company. Here Sandler presented its full product portfolio, ranging from innovative nonwovens for the automotive and filtration industry to products for construction applications and multilayer composites and nonwovens for industrial cleaning, medical, wipe and hygiene applications. A special highlight at Techtextil was an approximately 2.5-meter-high fountain made of water-repellent sawasorb material, which is generally used for automotive applications. This newly developed nonwoven was also the subject of a presentation by Sandler at the Techtextil Symposium, which was held concurrently with the exhibition.
